Nervous System Regulation with ahimsa_yoga

A workshop on understanding stress, building safety, and supporting your nervous system

A collaboration between Seekers Path Yoga and ahimsa_yoga

This workshop is an invitation to slow down and understand how your nervous system works — both in theory, and in daily life.

Through a mix of education, hands-on exploration, movement, and reflection, we’ll explore how stress shows up in the body and how we can support regulation in practical, accessible ways.

Together, we’ll learn how the nervous system responds to stress, why “calming down” isn’t always the goal, and how sensory input and gentle movement can help create a sense of safety and steadiness. You'll also build your own personalized calm kit — a small collection of tools you can take home and use when you’re feeling overwhelmed, activated, or disconnected.

The workshop will include:

  • Opening circle

  • A clear, accessible lesson on nervous system regulation

  • A hands-on calm kit workshop, exploring support for each of the senses

  • A facilitated sharing circle (optional participation)

  • A slow, grounding yoga practice designed to support regulation and choice, incorporating:

    • Breath Practices

    • Meditation Practices

    • Choice-Based Yin & Restorative Yoga Practice

This offering is trauma-informed, consent-based, and adaptable. You're encouraged to move, participate, or rest in ways that feel supportive to you.

No prior yoga experience is required. This workshop is not therapy, but it may be supportive for anyone navigating stress, burnout, anxiety, or nervous system fatigue.
